Driving Directions

PICNIC POINT SHELTER IS LOCATED ON THE PICNIC POINT PENINSULA. IT AFFORDS A BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE LAKE FROM THREE SIDES AND IS A GREAT AREA FOR SHORELINE FISHING, BIRDING, PICNICKING OR JUST PLAIN RELAXING. DIRECTIONAL SIGNS WILL MARK THE ROUTE TO THE SHELTER FROM THE PARK ENTRANCE AT STATE ROUTE 58. IT IS EASILY ACCESSED FROM THE PARK ENTRANCE BY STAYING TO THE RIGHT AND AT THE SECOND FORK STAYING TO THE LEFT. THEN TURN LEFT APPROXIMATELY 1/10 OF A MILE.

Cancellation/Transfer Policy
For changes or cancellations, please contact the reservation center at 1-866-644-6727. You may also cancel your reservation online by logging on to your account and viewing reservation details. Changes or cancellations made up to the close of business 15 days or more prior to your arrival date will result in the loss of the $8.25 reservation fee for each reservation. Changes or cancellations made 14 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival date will result in the loss of the rental fee and the $8.25 reservation fee. If you cancel a reservation, the cancelled facility will not be available for reservation until 7am the following morning when new inventories are released. For changes and cancellations of reservations paid by credit card, you will be required to verify the card number. If you reserve a day use facility for the first day it is available for a reservation, you may not make any changes to that reservation, except for the number of occupants, so long as the maximum capacity of the facility is not exceeded.

FISHING	SHORELINE FISHING IS PERMITTED WITH A VALID OHIO FISHING LICENSE IS REQUIRED FOR PARK VISITORS WHO ARE 16 AND OVER.
GIFT CARD	GUESTS WHO CANCEL A RESERVATION MAY BE OFFERED THEIR REFUND IN THE FORM OF AN OHIO STATE PARK GIFT CARD, WHICH CAN BE USED FOR FUTURE RESERVATIONS OR AS CASH AT ANY OHIO STATE PARK RETAIL LOCATION AND SELECT CONCESSION OPERATED LOCATIONS.
LAWN GAMES	HORSESHOE, BADMITTON AND VOLLEYBALL GAMES CAN BE SET UP IN THE AREA OF THE SHELTER.
NO SHOW POLICY	FAILURE TO ARRIVE ON THE DATE OF THE RESERVATION DOES NOT CONSTITUTE GROUNDS FOR A REFUND. FEES FOR THE UNUSED RESERVATION WILL BE FORFEITED.
OPEN FIRES	NO FIRES ARE PERMITTED EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED AREAS
PET INFORMATION	PETS MUST REMAIN ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES. PETS MUST BE ATTENDED AT ALL TIMES.
RENTAL TIME	SHELTER AVAILABLE FROM 10:00 A.M. UNTIL 11:00 P.M.
RULES	ALL PARK RULES APPLY TO THE DAY USE AREAS
VEHICLES	VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DRIVE ONTO THE POINT. DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS PARK VISITORS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO DRIVE ONTO THE GRAVEL ACCESS ROAD. GUESTS MAY USE THE CUL-DE-SAC TO DROP OFF FAMILY MEMBERS AND PICNIC ITEMS. PARKING WILL BE PERMITTED IN THE PAVED LOT ONLY.
